This year's Haapavesi Folk Music Festival was organized 1st-4th of July 2010 and the Folk course 28th of June -2nd of July 2010.
Finland Festivals elected Haapavesi Folk Music Festival as its Festival of The Year in 2010. This year’s festival offered the best quality folk music acts from different parts of the world:
Martha Sebestyčn (Hungary), David Grier & Matt Flinner (USA), Daimh (Scotland), Trio Khoury (Jordan), Riccardo Tesi &Banditaliana (Italy), Valdis Muktupavels (Latvia), Markku Lepistö Co., Laura Voutilainen, Samuli Putro, Jarkko Martikainen, Siina & Kuperkeikka and lots of other interesting performers.
Haapavesi Folk Music Festival is an international festival where folk music is combined with atmospheric church concerts, jazz, children's music, dance and theatre. There are approximately 10 000 visitors enjoying folk music with us every year.
