The program for Haapavesi Folk Music Festival is curated by our Artistic Director Teija Niku.
Artist selections begin in September–October, and by January, the lineup is typically finalized. While most acts are invited, artists are also welcome to apply for a chance to perform at the festival.
If you wish to propose yourself or your group as a performer, please send us your suggestion, including audio and video samples, between September and December to [email protected]. Kindly refrain from adding this address to your mailing list.
A number of the foreign artists are also invited to teach at the Folk Course during the week leading up to the festival.
Due to the high volume of submissions, our artistic director may not be able to respond to your message.
